Close-up of a branch with dark red berries and green leaves against a blurred sky background.

As a young boy, Paul fondly remembered canoeing down the river with his family, their paddles gliding through the water as they gathered the sweet abundance of saskatoon berries that grew along the river’s edge.

When he met Karen, the love of his life, the next chapter was clear — to build a home and a life together in the countryside. One of their first acts on the farm was planting a field of saskatoon bushes, a simple yet meaningful family effort.

For years, guests made the trek down the big hill to handpick those precious berries, each bite a cherished taste of the land they called home.

“Imagine a fruit that tastes like a Blueberry crossed with the satisfying heft of an Apple, a touch of rosewater and a minuscule crunch of almond-flavored seeds. They taste like nothing a grocery store has to offer: wild, complex with a chemistry that your body recognizes as the real food it’s been waiting for.” - Robin Wall Kimmerer

SEPTEMBER 10th Update!

FLOWER U-PICK - SOLD OUT

Choose your own flowers and create a bouquet to enjoy at home. These flowers are also wonderful for drying, so you can enjoy them in two ways: keep them in water and enjoy them fresh, or hang them upside down in a dark, dry place away from direct light and let them dry naturally. Then you can enjoy your flowers throughout the winter, long after the growing season is over.

Bouquets start at $30 for a 6" round, with an additional $5 for each extra inch if you’d like to make a bigger bouquet.

TOMATO U-PICK - SOLD OUT

Our greenhouse-grown tomatoes are ready for picking this weekend as well! You’ll find varieties including cherry tomatoes, beefsteak and Roma tomatoes.

$4 per lb. Pick what you’d like and simply pay for what you pick when you’re finished.

APPLE U-PICK - SOLD OUT

Our orchard is filled with Prairie-hardy apple varieties that are grown right here at the farm, including Odyssey, September Ruby, Norkent, Goodland, Parkland and Kerr crab apples. $2 per lb

Come pick your own, enjoy the fields and orchard, and bring the kids along to show them where their food actually comes from.

U-Pick is open Saturday & Sunday (August 29th & 30th).

We’ll see you in the fields!
